About Us
Wazobia Humanitarian Foundation (WHF) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization established in 2018 with a mission to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to Nigeria’s most vulnerable populations. Born from compassion and a sense of duty, WHF addresses the needs of the homeless, the hungry, the displaced, and the marginalized—especially in crisis-affected regions.
Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and recognized by the National and State Emergency Management Agencies, WHF actively collaborates with UN agencies, international and national NGOs, government stakeholders, and local communities to deliver coordinated humanitarian responses.
We operate across Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Katsina states, implementing multi-sectoral programs that include:
Education & Child Protection, Smart Agriculture & Climate Resilience, Food Security & Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment, Shelter & Non-Food Items (NFIs), Mental Health & Psychosocial Support, Women & Youth Empowerment, Drug Prevention, Treatment & Care, Emergency Preparedness & Resilience Building
What We Do
Our work is guided by the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the North-East Development Commission’s Stabilization and Development Master Plan.
Our team of professionals and volunteers is committed to inclusive recovery, durable solutions, and building communities where every individual can live with dignity, safety, and purpose.
Education
We provide access to quality education for out-of-school children, distribute educational materials, build temporary learning spaces, and empower parents to support their children’s learning journey, especially in conflict-affected regions.
Nutrition
We combat malnutrition by distributing micronutrient supplements, educating mothers on infant feeding practices, and promoting exclusive breastfeeding to ensure every child has a healthy start to life.
Protection
We offer psychosocial support, case management, GBV prevention, and rights awareness campaigns to protect women and children from abuse, exploitation, and neglect; especially in IDP and informal settlements.
Food Security & Livelihoods
We distribute food to vulnerable communities, support income-generating activities, establish kitchen gardens, and train people in practical skills to achieve sustainable living.
WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene)
We promote hygiene through community sensitization, distribute hygiene kits, and support water sanitation efforts to prevent disease outbreaks in underserved and densely populated areas.
Peacebuilding & Advocacy
We run peace campaigns and community engagement initiatives to foster unity and healing in post-conflict zones, while also advocating against climate change, drug abuse, and social inequality.
